Ashes of Creation Roleplay

Hellooo, I'm PocketNord. 😁 salutes

I'm a 24 year old homosexual finishing up his Fine Arts degree, in Jacksonville, Florida (A.K.A. Orlando's humorless swampy cousin/Snowbird Preserve). I spend most of my time listening to oldies and obscure alternative tunes, while I find new ways to break photoshop. I take commissions for Guild seals/signage, wherever I go. Uh, I'm an unapologetic Aspie - so please save your sarcasm - I've a natural immunity.

Oh also, Parental Advisory: I drop F-bombs more profusely than I breathe. Can't help it, I'm a passionate guy.

It's hard to put a date on when I really became a Roleplayer, honestly. As far back as I can remember, I've been obsessed with telling stories, and I never let anything sort of stop me from doing that in anything I played. I know I had my earliest start on a Nintendo 64, wandering the F' off from the main quests to really just explore, and discover new regions and places. So many games, after that one, were just a sheer disappointment. My library consisted almost entirely of openworld titles I could use to sate my wanderlust. I first RPed seriously in the now offline Matrix Online, After that it was on to LOTRO, and from there to Fallen Earth ((Travelers FTW)). After all that however, my old RP group got separated by the literal ocean between us ((cough, Fuck you LOTRO EU/NA server wall)).

I didn't find a new party to join until I started playing ESO in 2015 - a group I'm still actively role playing with while I wait for Ashes. We bounced around from there to BDO, which... Well lets just say, the first of us knew to jump-ship the second he saw that the boobplate armor jiggled. The rest of us followed shortly after. Beyond MMORPGs, I'm also an avid Dungeons and Dragon player. I'm head over heels in love with the Fallout franchise... Oh and the elder scrolls. But also Fallout. Mostly Fallout... It's better than tes, anyway. 😋

When it comes to Ashes, I really jumped on board when two of my friends slid the kickstarter page my way. It's way more than just the Node system that draws me to the Idea of Roleplaying in it. If Intrepid can deliver on it's promises, It'll be a game I can Immerse myself in, to a level that most MMOs don't really permit. I plan to be in character as often as possible once the game releases, and look forward to seeing my natural wanderlust let me explore and participate in all the stories each of you has to tell...

As to what types of characters I tend to play, my boyfriend put it best: I lean into "characters with dark pasts, and bright futures." Usually intrepid, perseverant, introverts who are just trying to make their way in the world, usually without any lofty ambitions. If you're looking for organic character driven role play, be sure to send me a whisper when the game comes out!

Sounds like you've had a pretty long journey to reach us! I'm also really excited for the possibilities that Ashes presents us as a game, like you said—even beyond the node system, it sounds really incredible for exploration and roleplay. Definitely hoping to see you around in-game!
